How does Mobile Ticketing work?

You can learn all about Mobile Ticketing, including managing, forwarding, recalling your tickets, here.

Why are tickets offered on other websites?

Beware of Scalpers

It is suggested that tickets always be purchased from an authorized ticketing agent at a Select-A-Seat outlet, the Select-A-Seat phone number, online at selectaseat.com or through the venue’s box office. If tickets are purchased through an unauthorized dealer, they could possibly be stolen tickets or they may be counterfeit and therefore will not be honored as valid tickets.

"Scalping" is a slang term for the unauthorized sale of event tickets. This practice is not permitted on the grounds of any venues that we serve. Anyone who is attempting to "sell" tickets at any price (even if it's being sold below face value) will be asked to leave the premises.

List of Authorized Agents:

  • The Venue's Box Office

It is always best to call the venue directly or check their websites regarding ADA accessible seating and parking.

How do I purchase accessible/disability seating?

Accessible seating for guests is available throughout the facilities and is based on event configuration. Tickets for events can be purchased through the Select-A-Seat website selectaseat.com or by phone at 316-755-SEAT(7328).

How are ticket prices decided?

Ticket pricing is finalized through contract negotiations between the artist and the promoter.

Why do the best tickets always sell so quickly?

When an event goes on sale, there could be hundreds of people purchasing tickets online, over the phone, at an outlet, and at the venue box office simultaneously. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available. In some instances, the promoter could have sold tickets to "Artists Fan Clubs" or they may elect to hold seats reducing the number of tickets available to the public.

Why are there limits on how many tickets I can purchase?

The promoter or artist's management team will determine a ticket limit in order to provide ticket access to as many fans as possible. Ticket limits vary depending upon the event or the anticipated demand for tickets.

What is the difference between purchasing through the venue box office and purchasing tickets online, over the phone, or at an outlet?

There are no convenience fees on tickets purchased at the venue box office, additional fees may still apply(e.g. facility fees, promoter surcharges, etc...).

Does my child need a ticket?

The age limit can vary by venue and event. Typically, those who have celebrated their second birthday require a ticket and some family shows require those that have celebrated their first birthday require a ticket. Please check the venue's website for more information.

How can I purchase backstage passes?

Backstage passes are supplied by the tour and can never be purchased. Select-A-Seat does not have access to backstage passes.

If I purchase tickets through the box office, can I purchase better seats?

No, the website, over the phone, all outlets and the box office all use a state of the art computerized ticketing system and have access to the same open seats. The computer chooses the next best seat based on the configuration of the event.

Why on the day of the show are better seats suddenly available?

Tickets previously being held by either the artist or the promoter are no longer needed or the configuration of the stage may have changed which will create seat availability.

Why do I need to keep my ticket stub?

The ticket stub is your receipt and proof of purchase to sit in the reserved seat. You may be asked to show your ticket stub when taking your seat or when you are moving around the facility. If there is a cancellation or rescheduling of an event, you will need your ticket stub.

Why can the media announce an event and Select-A-Seat cannot?

The information on upcoming events cannot be released by Select-A-Seat until given permission from the promoter or the artist. All events are listed on the Select-A-Seat website www.selectaseat.com.

Why can't I leave a single seat when buying my tickets?

To ensure more fans can enjoy the show, as an industry standard, we do not allow single seats to be left in a transaction.  However, at high demand times (duing on-sales/promotions) when multiple people are purchasing at once, single seats do happen unfortunately.  Transactions can time out (which locks seats for a period of time) or guests can put their seats into a cart which is modified and can cause single seats to be left after transactions are finalized.  This is uncontrollable.

When people stand during a concert, why can't event security make them sit down?

If a guest is standing during an event, guest services staff and event security will not ask them to sit down. Their ticket gives the guest the right to stand or sit at their designated seat. Each situation is different and is handled on an individual basis. Guests are not allowed to stand, sit or dance in any of the aisles.

What is Platinum Seating?

Tickets to concerts and other events made available by artists and event promoters. This enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.

Are they resale tickets?
They are not. They are being sold for the first time.

What is the original ticket price?
The price you pay is the original ticket price.

Why can't I buy it for certain events?
Currently it is not available for all events.

Additional fees may apply.

COVID-19 (coronavirus) Update

We are currently working with all Select-A-Seat venues and event organizers to determine which events may be cancelled or rescheduled as a result of local or state mandates or recommendations. Venues will contact ticket purchasers whose events have been impacted directly by email regarding the status of each affected performance and any applicable refund options (as details are confirmed). Updates will also be posted on our website under the applicable event. Your patience with us, the venues, and the event organizers is greatly appreciated as this process will take some time.

The most current status for each event will likely be found on the venue’s website and social media pages, so please check often for updates.

Tickets selected for mail delivery will be mailed no later than 10 business days before the event. If you would like to receive the tickets immediately, please select “Mobile” as your delivery method. For questions regarding your order or an event, you may email us at [email protected]. Due to a high volume of incoming messages, please allow 72 hours between the days of Monday and Friday for a response.
